Hardcore Sunday

I actually don't know if it's an hardcore Sunday, cause i've pretty much headache and it is Monday tomorrow, urg!
But i'm glad this week is soon over.. because it have been a really bad week! Pff. - Meeting early, home late.. Train strike so you have to walk for 4 hours home in the rain during the night! Swollen eye. Finding out both of your parents are alcoholics. Getting so disappointed by friends there let you down. - But i've decided not to be annoyed by mean people anymore.. will just let them go!
And next week will probably be bad too! Will spend the whole week with an boy i hate to death, getting my grades from my exams :s. Having my first gymnastic show in this season.. and i'm not ready at all!!

Every night before I go to sleep I lie on my bed and stare up at my blank walls. I try to imagine the future, but right now it's as blank as those walls. All I can see is a past that I barely recognize any more.

Anyway, today i've been studying, reading, wearing mud mask! lol And will make fresh pasta with gorgonzola cream sauce and bacon later today! om nom nom!

Also did my nails! Errrh there is not much to tell about that.. I just like to do nails! Because i cant draw, and then nail art is just easy to do! >.<

Here is some of the nail art i've been doing:
I'll stop being negative now! xD - So today i found out that i'm going to Spain for 2 weeks this summer together with an friend! That will be fun! And get some sun, cause now i think i've been looking at this boring weather for long enough! I need spring!
Listen to music keep me going!

Food: Buns With Raspberry Cream

Fastelavnsboller med hindbærskum

Ingredients for ca. 24 buns.

Dough:
3,5 dl milk

100 g melted butter
50 g yeast
½ teaspoon salt
50 g sugar
Ca. 600 g wheat flour

To inside the buns:
50 g soft butter
50 g sugar

Raspberry foam:
2 ½ dl double cream
2 – 3 tablespoon raspberry jam

Icing:
Powdered sugar
Raspberry juice
(Or you can just make it normal, plain white)

Heat up the milk, and  put melt the butter in, and the yeast.  And wait til it’s dissolved. Put in sugar, salt and flour.

Let the dough raise for 30-40 min.

Meanwhile whip butter and sugar together.
Share the dough in 2. Make them into 2 squares (ca. 30x40 cm), Share each dough into 12 new parts. Put 1 teaspoon on each dough piece. Fold the dough around the cream. ( so the cream cant flow out of the bun when you bake them), put the buns on a roasting pan, with greaseproof paper, with the closing ends down.
Let the buns raise again for 30 mins

Brush them with, egg, milk, water – or what you feel like. And put them in the oven at 225 C° for 12-15 mins.

Let the buns cool down.
Whip the double cream together with the raspberry jam
Spilt the buns and put the raspberry cream into them, and top with the icing.

Eat and enjoy!

Clothes: Free People Daisy Dress

It may be that the presence of Karlie Kloss in the look book helps to sell it; but i can’t help thinking that this Free People daisy dress with lace cut-out detailing at the waist is the kind of piece you’d end up wearing to death. It’s available in red, but the ivory colour is definitely me pick.

A Friend Once Told Me #3

A friend once told me that you should trust in yourself, and like who you are.. Even if it can be hard sometimes. Clever words. - But it's easier said than done.

Famous Blog Spot: STEP

Tim Burton’s always been an inspiration to me. He’s mostly known for his dark films, mostly starring Johnny Depp and his twisted stop motion animation films, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare before Christmas being the most well-known I think. But making films isn’t the only thing he does. He’s also an amazing illustrator. I’ve got two of his books:  The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy, a collection of beautifully illustrated gothic tales.

Illustration from The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy by Tim Burton

The 2nd book I have is called Tim Burton. It’ a collection of drawings and illustrations he has done over the years. Some are the first drafts of the characters in his films. It contains example illustrations of Edward Scissorhands and the Corpse Bride. It’s a great way to really get to know Tim Burton’s drawing style and way of thinking before he starts making a film!

One of his characters, Stain boy has gotten his own animation film, directed by Tim Burton. You can watch them here:
And of course, as the creative genius he is, Tim Burton’s website is a illustrational dream as well: you can control Stain Boy while he walks around in Burton’s gallery filled with illustrations and drawings. http://www.timburton.com/

But Tim Burton isn’t the only one who inspires me with his illustrations. There are more lesser known (or even completely unknown) illustrators I want to share with you!
Imaginism Studios is a group of illustrators, some of which have already worked on quite well known animation pictures!  You can find more info about every member  and what they’ve accomplished so far on their site: http://www.imaginismstudios.com/
My favourite ilustrators from Imaginism Studios are Bobby Chiu and Kei Acedera: they know their colours well and succeed to create dreamy colour palettes and  fantasy animal that are both ugly and beautiful. Their illustrations make you dream about wintery cold Christmas nights, snuggling up by the hearth with hot chocolate and a nostalgic children’s book.

And this would probably be my all-time favourite illustration from them:

If you want to see more fabulous illustrations, you can check out their DeviantArt page:
But the prove that you don’t need to be successful or famous to make gorgeous illustrations can be found on DeviantArt. There’s plenty of unknown people just doing their thing and creating extraordinary drawings and illustrations. Here are a few of the illustrations that caught my eye over the past few weeks. Make sure to check out their DeviantArt page to see what more they’ve done!

And then last but not least: the illustrator Sui Lam, a friend of mine! She still studying  to become the most awesome Graphic Designer ever!!!!  She’s not only making great illustrations already, but also has an amazing sense for everything esthetic!  Here’s her site: http://malius.hk.st/

“What chocolate can’t do, shoes can.” Whoever said that must be a very fit and financially-drained person. - I found my new favourite brand of shoes.

Clothes: Detachable collor

detachable collar trend

Just as you start to stereotype a piece of clothing with a specific gender, the industry and its creative heads blow up a storm. Whether it’s to do with the comeback of 1960s fashion or the modernization of a contemporary tuxedo suit. We might be a little biased here, but nothing ever stays ‘boring’ in the solar system of fashion. Especially when ‘it’ girls and street style queens are the ones who instigate a trend.
Such is the 2012 trend alert of this fancy and easy-to-wear accessory – a detachable collar. Quite literal in its meaning, a detachable collar is a jewel for the wardrobe and adding this element to an outfit is like varnishing your antique furniture – not obligatory but always appreciated. Brimming with character, personality and charisma, this accessory is also responsible for adding an instant quirk to an outfit. It’s versatile in its styling and creation, making it all the more appealing.
